Hi, you theme has one ploblem i think, the sql database dont delete uniques IP, so i must do this query:
DELETE FROM wp_postmeta WHERE meta_key = "_view_ip_list";
because the database become big 1GB!! the ip's shouuld be deleted every 24h. Can you help me to correct this problem?
It keeps track of every single ip address if you have unique views disabled in the theme options >> advanced screen. Make sure you have unique views enabled and it will only store one ip address per visitor.
yes, that option is enabled, but i recieve 1k visits on avery post i made, and i made something like 10-15 posts every day, so every dai i must execute the query and then optimize the table, so from 4mb (yesterday) the table become 200kb
If you use that query then you're deleting the ip addresses, meaning views will not be unique if those same visitors view the post again. I'd recommend just disabling the view count mechanism completely if you're concerned about space in this way. Let me know if you need help with that and I can show you what line to edit.
i disabled the view count but the visits are unique after 24h
for example, if i visit a post today and see the banners on my site, it will count 1 visit, but if i visit with the same ip my site 24h later, if will count another visit
so it must be the same for post visits, i recieve something like 10-15k uniques ip's visits every day, so 15k ip's in database every day is really bad
Yes I understand that, that's exactly what I am saying. If you delete the ip list then they won't be unique after 24 hours...
