Which widget are you referring to? Where is it on your home page (or if it's not on your home page, what is the direct URL to it? When you say "featured column 1" are you referring to the "DRINKS THAT BRING IT!" section? And if so, I'm seeing articles within that panel... am I looking in the right place?
Thanks for the quick response. I have it set back to where it works right now, I can enable a couple of visibilities if you want to see it in the failed state. Actually, I went ahead and set both columns to the failed state so you can see what I am talking about.
I am seeing it happen for both the "Top Reviewed" and "Latest Articles" widgets; they are the only two I have tried them on.
One other question along this topic. When I am setting a visibility by "page" should I select the Post Type Article or the Static Page (static page in this case is a mini-site holder)
So I'm seeing that there are no posts in either of those widgets, but I don't know exactly why - I can definitely tell you it's just a settings issue, but in order for me to know exactly what I'll have to login and take a look (I'll need admin access for that).
For the visibility question, are you referring to when you're editing a page in the WordPress visibility for that page? Or are you talking about in the Settings >> Reading area where it asks if you want a static page for your homepage? I'm a little confused as to what exactly you are referring to here, so maybe logging in or a screenshot will help further

I'm not familiar with the drop downs in that screenshot. Is that coming from a plugin or something?
Also, I checked but I can't figure out why the featured columns aren't populating with reviews. I see a lot of pending/scheduled articles and I'm curious if somehow those are affecting anything. But before we look at that, I think possibly plugins are causing all of these issues. Can you please try temporarily disabling all of your plugins and see if that helps at all?
My bad, Brian. I honestly thought the visibilty portion of the widget was a part of the theme. I disabled everything and it restored the articles, but it removed the visibility button (at which point I felt much shame).

FYI it's the Jetpack plugin that added that visibility piece and it just doesn't seem to work with the theme. Just on the off chance you get a similar question in the future.
