I have uploaded my theme via FTP and activated it. Now, when I try to tweak any setting the save icon keeps spinning and never saves. I have tried to implement many solutions. Please Help! I have edited the php.ini file as well, but my webhost does not allow custom php on the server. I have reinstalled and deactivated plugins but nothing will work!!!

We need to check and make sure you max input vars setting has been increased correctly. Please give me your admin wordpress login info so I can verify this, thanks.

This screenshot shows that you have not actually increased this setting on the server. You need to ask your web host where to change this setting so that it actually takes affect on your server.

Unfortunately you are required to increase this default setting if you want to save more than 1,000 options. Either don't save more options than that, or move to a different host that will let you increase this setting. It is ridiculous that a host would not allow you to change this setting on your own hosting. We've never had a host say that before to any of our customers.

Just don't create lots of category sections. It's only after creating several of those that you are likely to start approaching that limit. It tells you at the top of the screen how many options it's saving each time so you'll know if you're close to the limit or not.
