183. How do I use shortcodes?

1. I have overlapping issues with the main menu and the sub (utility) menu.

Add this to your Custom CSS theme option:

#sub-menu ul {z-index:199!important}

2. Explicit 2.0 Update Known Issues

  1. When using page builder components via the Shortcode Generator on single pages/posts, you need to disable the sidebar in the Layout Options, otherwise the sidebar will overlap the page builders. This is by design and will not likely be changed in the next update.
  2. Excluding and including categories and tags within page builders does not work when you first create the builder panel. It is not until after you save the theme options and refresh the theme options page that you are able to select categories and tags for page builders. Then they will work on all subsequent theme options saves and refreshes (you will not lose your selections from then on). This is not by design and we are looking to fix this in a future theme update. Fixed in 2.1
  3. Not all options apply to all page builders. For instance the Icon option only applies to a couple of the page builders. Make sure the option you are working with matches the page builder you are working with by checking the hover help tooltip to the right of the option. This is by design but we will make it more clear in future theme updates. Fixed in 2.1
  4. You'll notice when you try to add page builders such as Portholes using the shortcode generator you are only able to select one category or tag for the Included drop downs (while still multiple for Excluded). This is because Portholes, along with the other page builders (other than Grid and Blog) are now able to be "targeted" on category archive pages, and the downside is that you can only select one category for the Include tag or category. So while you can still select multiple categories and tags in the theme options page builders, it is only taking into account the first one you choose. You'll have to use a workaround of using multiple Excludes or a different tag/category to target the ones you want to display in the builder until we can improve this functionality in a future theme update. Fixed in 2.1
  5. Grids and Blogs are only able to use one layout across the site (3 panel w/ sidebar, 4 panel, etc.) which can be set below the Theme Options >> Post Loops panel. This is by design but we are considering re-working this down the road.
  6. The dark grey background container of the Top Ten and Explicit Content builder panels, when added via the Shortcode Generator into a single post/page, will not expand full-width like it does when you use it in the theme options. This is by design.
  7. If you have any styles that look out of place after the update (e.g. hero slider main title is dark and pushed down, portholes titles are overlapped by circle images, etc.) it is because you did not get fully updated correctly. Make sure you completely overwrite all of the files listed in the update log. The best way to update is to simple do a full theme overwrite just to make sure you didn't miss any files.
  8. Widget pagination and sorting was broken in 2.0. This is being fixed for version 2.1. To fix yourself, edit the following files (all within the functions/widgets/ folder): in widget-list-paged.php change line 96 to:  Fixed in 2.1

3. How do I add a new option to the page builder?

See the answer here: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/149450

4. Can I import the demo MySql database directly via a .sql file?

Yes! In versions of Swagger 1.10 and up a .sql file is included that you can import directly into your mysql database via phpMyAdmin. Here is how you do this:

  1. Backup your database!
  2. Open your WordPress database using phpMyAdmin on your web server
  3. Drop all of your tables: Structure >> Check All >> With Selected: Drop
  4. Click Import tab at the top
  5. Click Choose File and select the .sql file in your Swagger-Theme folder
  6. Click Go
  7. Open your wp_options table
  8. Change the value in the siteurl and home records to your domain (currently they are pointing to http://www.brianmcculloh.com/wp-swagger-demo)

After you make these changes, you can access your WordPress admin panel using the following credentials:

Username: brianmcculloh
Password: $waggerDemo

Once logged in you should see one review type called Movie and 5 sample movie reviews, as well as all of the Review Options for that review type and all the Theme Options from the demo.

If you don't want to do an entire db import, overwriting all of your current tables, I have taken screenshots of the demo settings so you can replicate them in your dashboard. The Theme Options settings can be seen in this screenshot, and the Review Options settings can be seen in this screenshot.

5. How do I setup custom menus in Explicit?

See screencast: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

6. My tabbed widgets are broken in the sidebar or footer and are displaying all the items at once instead of in tabbed format.

You cannot add more than one of the exact same type of tabbed widget to any one page. That means you cannot put the Extended: Latest Review Tabs widget both in the sidebar and in a footer panel, or else it will cause them both to break.

7. Can't create a child theme

If you're having an issue creating a child theme, please see this ticket with an alternate solution: https://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/494876/

8. Update Log (GrandMag)

To update your theme:

  1. Make a full site backup (database and files)
  2. To download the latest version of the theme, go to the "Downloads" tab in your Themeforest.net account. Select "Installable Wordpress file only" to download the latest theme files.
  3. Unzip the downloaded theme files on your computer
  4. Use your ftp client to copy (overwriting) the files to wp-content/themes/[theme-name]/ on your host server. You can either upload all files completely, or just the ones listed in the update log below if you prefer.

1.0 - 12/31/2012

Initial release

9. A note on theme updates.

We are continuing to update all of our themes, even if it has been a while since our last update. To speed up this process, which will help everyone out, please adhere to the following guidelines:

1) Please do not ask when the next theme will be available. With so many feature requests and themes to update, it is impossible to know for sure when the next update will be completed.

2) Please do not ask what will be included in the next theme update. We are constantly adding items to the update list which grows longer every day, and consequently re-prioritizing the items to put the most critical items that affect the most people at the top of the list.

3) If you notice a theme bug or have a suggestion for a theme update, please open a new ticket with your issue and we will respond and add it to our list accordingly.

4) If we have responded to you stating something will be in the next theme update, then it will be (please do not continue to ask us over and over).

5) If we have responded to you stating we will add your request to the future possible update list, then it might be included in the next theme update, but there is no guarantee.

6) Please do not assume since a theme hasn't been updated in a while that we are not still planning on updating it in the future.

For your reference, here is how we prioritize our update list, from most important to least important:

1) Compatibility with the latest version of WordPress

2) Compatibility with the latest versions of supported/compatible plugins (WooCommerce, BuddyPress, and bbPress)

3) Functionality bugs and errors

4) Style/layout issues

5) New features and theme enhancements

6) One-off compatibility with third-party plugins

10. In Firefox, the spotlight slider formatting is screwed up.

Do you only have one post marked “spotlight”? Try adding another one and see if that fixes it.

11. I'm using WordPress in German (or another language) and I cannot change page builder drop downs, or theme options aren't working correctly.

This was fixed in version 1.4 of Explicit, so please update. Or you can edit functions/admin/it-options.php and locate line 62 which looks like this:

'' => sprintf( __( 'Display Site Title <small><a href="%1$s/wp-admin/options-general.php" target="_blank">(click here to edit site title)</a></small>', IT_TEXTDOMAIN ), esc_url( get_option('siteurl') ) )

Change it to this and that should fix your issues:

'' => __( 'Display Site Title', IT_TEXTDOMAIN )

12. How do I translate the theme into another language?

I merely provide a translation-ready PO file with this theme that you can then take and translate using software such as Poedit (http://www.poedit.net/). I have not translated a WordPress theme myself, nor do I really know how to translate one, so I am not the best resource to help you with this specific task. I do know that the PO file I provide works, because hundreds of customers have successfully used it to translate their themes. To get much better information than what I can provide you, start with this resource: http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress, and then ask any specific questions on WordPress Answers: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/, or the WordPress support forums: http://wordpress.org/support/.

Flavor, Steam, and Explicit users:

Here are steps to translating the theme. Special thanks to Micha Kowalski for compiling these steps!

1. Download and install Poedit
2. Open "en-US.po" file
3. Check a line you want to translate, and write a word in your language in Translation section.
4. If your translate is done, click File > Save as and name it correctly to your language, for example "pl_PL.po" for Polish language.
5. Then generate a .mo file clicking File > Save as, name it correctly to your language, for example pl_PL.mo, and thats it.
6. Upload these two files to your theme directory, "wp-contet/themes/THEME_NAME/lang" and you are done.

Alternative

If you have issues using Poedit you can try Transposh instead which has been used successfully by some IndustrialThemes customers.

13. I get "Parser Error" or "Error" in the bottom left corner whenever I interact with the site.

There could be several causes, but first and foremost make sure you have created a primary taxonomy item in each minisite. If you have not created this then using some parts of the site will cause a parser error. Obviously you don't have to worry about that if you don't have any minisites.

Secondly, make sure you have uploaded/installed the theme correctly. You should not have uploaded Flavor-Theme (if using Flavor) or Steam-Theme (if using Steam) because then your AJAX file will be in the wrong location. In other words, the location of your theme's style.css file on your server should be here:

.../wp-content/themes/flavor/style.css (or /steam/ if using Steam)

NOT HERE!!:

.../wp-content/themes/Flavor-Theme/flavor/style.css (or /Steam-Theme/steam/ if using Steam)

If you uploaded it the wrong way and don't want to risk moving it on your server, you can open the functions/ajax.php file and edit line 7:

$wordpress_location = "../../../../wp-load.php";<br>

Add one more up level like this:

$wordpress_location = "../../../../../wp-load.php";<br>

If that still doesn't fix the issue, disable all of your plugins and see if it begins working. A known plugin that conflicts for instance is http://wordpress.org/plugins/shorten-url/

Further Causes:

mod_security: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14215419/mod-s...

Basically all of the theme's ajax calls are getting blocked because your web host has mod_security turned on. You need to follow the steps in that article to get it working. Your web host will be able to work with you on fixing this. This is very important because the theme passes a URL as a variable to the ajax file, and your web server is set up to block that. It is important to note this is not a theme issue but rather an issue specific to how your web server is setup.

Lastly, see this ticket with a further solution if none of this fixes the issue for you:

http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/239304/

14. My Featured slider layout does not look correct, and images are displaying incorrectly.

Images must be at least 400px tall by 550px wide when originally uploaded or else the next image will try to float next to it and it will break the style of the slider. If you have images that were uploaded prior to installing Swagger and you are trying to show them in the featured slider, you need to install and run the free plugin called AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild.

15. My ratings are not showing up on my single review page and the page is broken.

In Review Options make sure you have filled in all of the text fields for Rating Criteria under the Ratings, Colors and Styles toggle panel. You can adjust the number of rating criteria using the drop down above the input fields.

16. How do the user ratings (added in Made version 1.5) work, exactly?

Here are some things worth noting regarding user ratings:

17. How do I write reviews?

The review system uses standard WordPress posts instead of custom post types to make it easy to manage your reviews. To setup your review system go to Theme Options -> Reviews and enable the review system and choose where reviews should display throughout the theme. You can add unlimited criteria and name them whatever you want, and when you write your reviews you can choose which criteria to use (you don’t have to use every criteria on every review – you can pick and choose). You can also choose what kind of image to use and what color you want to use.

After you setup your review options you can write new reviews by creating a new post and filling it out just like a normal post, but then you will have the option of assigning review criteria in the Grand Review options below the post content editor. You can pick and choose which criteria to assign (leave unassigned criteria as “Choose one…”) and the theme will automatically average the total score for you.

18. Master Slider is dim after updating Chrome

This is a bug brought on by the latest version of Chrome. We are fixing this for Techwise version 1.1 but in the mean time you can easily fix this yourself by adding the following code to your custom css theme option:

.ms-slide .ms-slide-bgcont,.ms-slide .ms-slide-bgvideocont{z-index:2}
.hero-overlay{z-index:3;}
.ms-scroll-parallax-cont{z-index:4}

19. How do I use front-end publishing plugins such as Gravity Forms with the rating criteria?

This ticket has good information to at least get you started: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/172094

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a major update and significantly changes the way the page builder system works, and thus will require you to re-setup any areas in your theme options where you have previously used page builders. We highly recommend making a site backup before updating to avoid losing any page builder configuration!

Initial Release

21. Some of my icons are not displaying in Chrome on Windows 8.

This is a known issue that is going to be fixed in the next theme update. To fix it yourself in the mean time, edit style.css and locate this code:

/* Chrome hack: SVG is rendered more smooth in Windozze. 100% magic, uncomment if you need it. */
/* Note, that will break hinting! In other OS-es font will be not as sharp as it could be */
/*
@media screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio:0) {
  @font-face {
    font-family: 'icons';
    src: url('fonts/icons.svg?40094899#icons') format('svg');
  }
}
*/

Change it to this instead (you're just removing the /* and */ before and after the style):

/* Chrome hack: SVG is rendered more smooth in Windozze. 100% magic, uncomment if you need it. */
/* Note, that will break hinting! In other OS-es font will be not as sharp as it could be */
@media screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio:0) {
  @font-face {
    font-family: 'icons';
    src: url('fonts/icons.svg?40094899#icons') format('svg');
  }
}

For Flavor users this would be near line 1502. For Steam users it would be closer to line 1733

22. Weird page builder layouts happening

Make sure there are not any pages in your "trash" that have the "category front page" layout option with a selected category.

23. How do I use the mini-sites for non-review types?

You need to go through the exact same steps as if your site was a review site. That means creating your “review types” (which will just be regular posts on the front-end of your site), filling out all the settings for each review type, and writing “reviews” (regular posts on the front-end). The difference is that when you write your “reviews”, you need to use the settings in the Rating Info panel below the post content editor and hide the rating, overview, and full article bar.

Also, go to your Review Options, expand your review type, and expand the Global Settings panel and tick Hide “Review” Verbiage. Now your “reviews” will appear as if they are regular posts within that review type, but you also get the functionality of the mini-sites.

Also note that you can have non-reviews and reviews in the same mini-site.

24. My Facebook follower count is displaying 0.

Make sure you have not set your Facebook page to "Restricted - Over 18". If you have, Facebook will deny the get request for the follower count.

25. Google+ follower count broke after updating to version 1.4

Edit functions/core.php line 825:

if (preg_match("#([0-9,.]*)(s+)?follower#Uis", $data, $matches)) {

Change it to this:

if (preg_match('/>([0-9,]+) people

26. What's the difference between regular WordPress categories and review type taxonomies?

Let's say I have two review types: Movies and Music. Let's say my primary taxonomy for Movies is Genre and for Music it's Artist. Now, lets say I usually write 3 different types of posts generally speaking: Newly Released, Classics, and Announcements. So, in my Movies mini-site I will have reviews about newly released movies, classic movies, and announcements about upcoming movies (announcements would not be reviews and would have the rating information hidden so they look like regular posts - see theme documentation or the FAQ for information on how to do this), and I will also have those same three general types of posts in my Music review type. So, I create three standard categories: Newly Released, Classics, and Announcements. Notice how all three of those categories could be applied to any types of posts, both reviews and regular. Then I put those in the menu so that when I click on, say, Classics, I am taken to a post listing page of all posts or reviews in the Classics category (I will see both Music reviews and Movie reviews listed together). However, if I click on one of the artists within the Music review type it will keep me within the Music review type and only list music reviews, since that has nothing to do with my other review type(s).

This is just one example. There is no one right way to setup your site. You can do it a million different ways, whichever best suits your site and how you want to organize your content.

27. My frontpage shortcodes and/or features slider aren't displaying.

Make sure you only upload the grandmag/ folder to your wp-content/themes/ folder on your web server, and not the entire GrandMag-Theme folder that you downloaded from ThemeForest. Basically, the theme can’t be contained within a subfolder in your themes/ folder.

28. Multiple sliders/frontpage functions are not working - spotlight, latest, ect.

Make sure you have php-xml turned on in your web server settings.

29. My star ratings are not displaying in Google search results.

Please see this ticket discussing reasons why Google might not be displaying the star ratings in search results even if they are showing in the Google Rich Snippets testing tool: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/112830/search/

30. How do I import the W3 Total Cache settings from the demo?

See this ticket with the settings and instructions on importing: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/140905

8/12/2014 - 2.0

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a huge update with a major code-base rewrite. What this means is depending on your particular setup you may need to re-setup your page builders in the theme options. Page builders are implemented completely differently and now have a lot more options, but the downside is for a large update like this it may require a bit of rework in your theme options to get your site laid out exactly as it was before. Remember, if you are uncomfortable with this, you are not required to update to 2.0. There is no security risk whatsoever with staying at version 1.4. And as always, make a backup of your site just in case!

Initial Release

32. None of my articles are displaying on my minisite front page. All I get is "nothing to see here".

Make sure your permalink structure is not set to Default but instead something else, like Post Name. Do this in Settings >> Permalinks.

33. I see an error when viewing my site that mentions the functions/oswc-post-types.php file

This means you have not fully filled out all of your review options for your review type. Go to Appearance >> Review Options and for each review type expand the panels and fill out the necessary fields. Pay particular attention to the Taxonomies, Rating Criteria, and Meta Fields, and make sure there are no blank fields. These are the minimum required fields for the review type to work.

34. Where are the screencasts?

You can view the screencasts in the support center located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

35. I'm using WordPress 4.5 and/or PHP7 and my theme is broken.

Open the functions/admin/option-generator.php file and locate line 38 which looks like this:

$out .= $this->$option['type']( $option );

Change that line so it looks like this:

$out .= $this->{$option['type']}($option);

Next open the functions/admin/metaboxes-generator.php file and locate line 48 which looks like this:

$out .= $this->$value['type']( $value );

Change that line so it looks like this:

$out .= $this->{$value['type']}( $value );

Finally, open the functions/admin/shortcode-generator.php file and locate lines 116 and 122 which both look like this:

$out .= $this->$option['type']( $option );

Change that line so it looks like this:

$out .= $this->{$option['type']}( $option );

Save the files and empty your caching (including caching plugins) and that should fix it.

36. None of my custom permalinks structures are working.

Make sure you don't put a trailing forward slash after your permalink structure. This was affected by changes in WordPress 3.4. So, if your permalink structure looks like this: /%postname%/%post_id%/ you should remove the trailing forward slash so it looks like this instead: /%postname%/%post_id%

37. How do I create a minisite?

Please view our helpful screencasts located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/flavor/support/screencasts/

38. I created my minisites but they’re not showing up in my admin panel.

First make sure the review type is actually enabled in the Minisite Setup options. If it is and it's still not displaying in the admin menu, it’s possible that another plugin is “overwriting” the menu location of the review types. Open functions/minisites.php and change line 170 (Flavor users) or line 156 (Steam users) from this: 'menu_position' => 27, To this: 'menu_position' => 30,

39. How do I use BuddyPress/bbPress with this theme?

Just install BuddyPress like you normally would (if it’s not already installed) and when you’re going through the BuddyPress installation wizard the first time, choose the “Do Not Change My Theme” option at the bottom which will keep GrandMag as your active theme. That is all you will need to do.

For bbPress, you can either install it via your plugins page, or go to your BuddyPress settings page and click on the Forum tab and click Install Site-wide Forums and that will install bbPress for you. Then it’s just up to you to setup your BuddyPress pages and widgets and everything how you want them. Information on using BuddyPress can be found on the BuddyPress site.

40. Logo or other images missing on retina displays (iphones, macbook pros, other HD/HiDPI devices)

You need to specify an HD version of the image in the theme options. Most importantly, this must be named correctly. It needs to be named with the same name as the non-HD version of the image but it should have @2x right before the file extension, like this:

Original image name: image.png

HD image name: image@2x.png

If you name it something else it will not display on retina display devices.

41. What are Signoffs?

Please view the screencast demonstrating this located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

42. How do I update the theme?

You will be automatically notified when there is an update released for this theme in your WordPress dashboard. If you see an update notification, click on it and it will explain how to update the theme. All you have to do is re-download the theme from ThemeForest and overwrite your current theme files on your server with a new copy. You only need to upload files that were changed in the update (see the update log on the support forum).

You will not lose any content settings since they are stored in the database. You will only lose changes you have made directly to any of the theme files that were changed in the update.

43. My ratings are not showing up on my single review page and the page is broken.

In Review Options make sure you have filled in all of the text fields for Rating Criteria under the Ratings, Colors and Styles toggle panel. You can adjust the number of rating criteria using the drop down above the input fields.

44. How to I use MailChimp instead of Feedburner for the signup form?

While this functionality is not integrated into the theme by default, a helpful user has written a step-by-step guide showing how he did this here: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/69833

45. How can I exclude rating criteria?

See this helpful post by a helpful Steam user: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/199396

46. When I import the demo content the site stops loading halfway down after the featured slider.

1) Make sure you have Curl enabled on your web server.

2) Make sure you have file_get_contents() enabled on your web server, especially if you're using the social counts widget.

47. Using custom sidebars and signoffs in Explicit

See screencast: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

48. Can I rename, change, or add new review types other than the 5 build-in review types?

In order to change or add a new review type, you would need to modify the theme code in several different places, as well as rename/add some theme files. There are hundreds of places in the code that would need to be changed for a new review type. This is a fairly involved process, and you need to have an understanding of Wordpress 3.0 custom post types as well as PHP . Please check this support forum topic for further information regarding hiring a developer to perform these changes for you: http://support.industrialthemes.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=144&sid=84f495044fc9fc07a646db782ac6a810

49. How to setup Comparison feature

  1. Go to Theme Options >> Comparisons and turn on the comparison feature and select which aspects to compare.
  2. Go to Pages and create a new page (name it whatever you want)
  3. Select Comparison for the page template and then publish the page.

That's all you need to do. Clicking "Go" in the compare panel (after you add a few items to compare) will automatically find your compare page and generate the table there.

50. I'm having trouble with images, what should I do?

GrandMag comes with 2 options for Image Resizing. Either “TimThumb” or “Built in WordPress”. We strongly suggest that you use the second options (which is enabled by default).

For both options you will have to grant 777 permissions to the /cache/ folder located in your theme’s folder (/wp-content/themes/insignia/cache/). Some servers may not require it and you can use the theme as it is.

If you’re planning to use TimThumb instead, you will have to grant 644 permissions to the thumb.php file located under the /wp-content/themes/insignia/lib/scripts/ folder. In most cases this is 644 but it may vary depending on where you are hosted. If 644 does not work, try 755 or 777. It is recommended that you contact your host about what permissions to use if you are not sure. Settings permissions is also known as CHMODing, and can be done using most FTP programs and hosting control panels. You might also want to check the following link for further explanation: http://www.phpjunkyard.com/tutorials/ftp-chmod-tutorial.php.

DOES YOUR SERVER HAVE THE GD LIBRARY COMPILED WITH ITS VERSION OF PHP?

This script requires the GD library to be installed. If your thumbnails are not working, check with your hosting provider to make sure that you have it.

DOES YOUR SERVER HAVE MOD_SECURITY SETTINGS THAT ARE IMPEDING THE SCRIPTS FUNCTIONALITY?

Some servers may have “mod_security” settings that will stop the script from working. You should always contact your hosting provider to get further information about such issues.

51. How does the shortcode generator work?

Please see the screencast demonstrating this here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

Please view the screencast demonstrating this located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

53. My featured slider is completely broken and nothing is displaying in it at all.

There are three steps necessary in getting articles to display in your main featured slider:

1. You must make sure the value in Appearance >> Theme Options >> Front Page >> Featured Slider >> Featured Tag matches the name of the tag you want to use. To find the slug of the tag you want to use, go to Posts >> Tags and locate the tag in the list and look at the slug to the right of the tag name. Here is a screenshot to help you:

2. You must tag your articles with the tag you want to use. So, if you have chosen to use "featured" as your tag, you must tag your posts "featured". Here is a screenshot to help you:

http://demos.brianmcculloh.com/swagger/files/2012/02/tags2.jpg

3. You must assign featured images to the posts that you have tagged "featured". Here is a screenshot to help you.

http://demos.brianmcculloh.com/swagger/files/2012/02/tags3.jpg

If after doing these steps your featured slider still does not display anything at all, it is due to one of the following two reasons:

1) You have a plugin conflict which is causing a javascript error. Test to see if this is the case by temporarily disabling all of your plugins and see if the featured slider begins working.

...or...

2) Another slider on the page is broken, which will also cause the Featured Slider to not work. Make sure your Latest Slider, Spotlight Slider, Trending Slider, Don't Miss slider, and Category Panels are all setup correctly on your home page (see Theme Options >> Front Page and Miscellaneous tabs to setup these sliders).

If, after making sure you try all of these steps, you are still unable to get the featured slider to work, please post a new ticket in our support center.

54. On a taxonomy listing page, the page completely stops loading after the category menu.

This is because you have attempted to view a taxonomy that doesn't contain any reviews. Add a new review and assign it the taxonomy you are trying to access and the page will begin displaying correctly.

55. Twitter or Google+ count showing -1

The Twitter count is because of a resource limit being hit on our Twitter app. This needs to be updated within the theme files, but we're not sure when this will be applied. In the mean time please use a plugin for your Twitter count rather than the theme's built-in counter.

For Google+, we have isolated the cause of this and hope to fix this in the next theme update. Again, in the mean time, use a plugin instead.

Users report the following plugin displays social counts correctly: https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-count-plus/

56. How do I keep my current permalinks when switching from my previous theme to Made?

See this helpful guide: http://support.industrialthemes.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3290#p16250

57. Using reviews and ratings with Explicit

See screencast: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

58. I can't put more than one slider or tabs shortcode on a page/post at once.

Because the slider and tab shortcodes both use jQuery and have specific ID's, you cannot put more than one slider or tab shortcode inside of each page/post content (you can have one of each, however, since they don't affect each other).

Please see this page for a list of helpful screencast tutorials: http://www.industrialthemes.com/made/screencasts

60. Errors after updating to 1.4

First and foremost, we're fixing this right away, so it shouldn't be an issue for much longer.

To fix in the mean time, simply edit the functions/core.php file and add this directly after line 20:

wp_enqueue_script('hoverIntent');

62. How do I make my site faster?

Here are some good tips for making your Made-based WordPress site faster: http://support.industrialthemes.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6459

63. Site is broken after updating to WordPress 3.9

This is a known issue which is being fixed for the next theme update. To fix for yourself in the mean time, please follow these steps:

1) Use FTP to open the functions/admin/assets/js/admin.js file and locate line 65 which should look like this:

tinyMCE.triggerSave();

Add two slashes at the beginning so it looks like this:

//tinyMCE.triggerSave();

Save the file and upload it to the correct location on your server.

2) Go to your Theme Options >> Minisite Setup and click Confirm MInisites

3) Then click the blue Save All Changes button in your theme options and your site should be working as intended.

If after clicking the Save All Changes button the page manually refreshes, that means you did not make the code modification correctly. After clicking that button, the page should not refresh. Instead a spinning wheel should show up and then it should say "318 Total Options Saved" (of course your number of options will be different, that's just an example).

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we update the theme to be fully compatible with WordPress 3.9!

64. Where are the screencasts?

66. My search results are not working after the 1.4 update.

Open the functions/core.php file and locate line 1037 which looks like this:

'paged'       => max( get_query_var( 'paged' ), 1 )

Comment it out so it looks like this:

#'paged'       => max( get_query_var( 'paged' ), 1 )

67. Support Policy

Stop. Read. (It's Good For You!)

Before you create a new support ticket, please read through the documentation which is contained within the documentation folder inside of your theme folder. Within the theme options pages of the theme there are additional instructions and tips for each section and setting. There are also some very helpful tips in the FAQ's. (A link to each theme's FAQ is located in the item description on ThemeForest). Please read through both the documentation and the FAQ's before you create a ticket. We usually get the same 8 or 9 questions about our themes over and over, and that is why we have taken the time to write detailed solutions in the FAQ's to avoid having to write the same answers over and over.

If your particular issue is not found in the documentation or the FAQ's, please search the support center for a solution to your question. There are thousands of posts and users asking questions here, so it is very likely your question has already been asked and answered.

Create a Support Ticket

If your question has not been asked in a support ticket yet (or at least you can't find it anywhere), then please create a new ticket with your question. Be as specific as possible. It helps to provide a URL, screenshot, or a detailed explanation of your issue. However, please note that, due to the amount of time it takes us to develop, update, maintain, and support our themes, we are not able to perform customizations for our themes ("freelance" work).

What We Can Help With

Any questions about how the theme works and any bugs or errors you find are completely acceptable questions. This includes such things as which file some particular code is in, asking what things the theme can and can't do, asking about future updates and enhancements, pointing out if you found an error or a bug, etc.

What We Can Not Help With

ThemeForest does not require authors to give support in any way shape or form, nor does your purchase of a ThemeForest item come with any guarantee of support in any way. Regardless, we spend on average 14 - 28 hours a week supporting our themes via the support forums (just for reference, that's $1400 - $2800 worth of lost revenue each week). Why do we do that? Because we want to stand out among the crowd of authors in the marketplace, and we know that providing good support for a product says that we are confident in what we have developed.

That being said, we cannot provide support for anything outside the scope of theme support (we just don't have time!). This includes:

For example, if you post a question asking how to change the background color of the main content area of a theme, and the ability to do that is not already in the theme options page, we will unfortunately not be able to help with this.

Please Do Not Abuse Support

This support is completely free of charge, so please do not abuse it. Remember, you paid $40 - $50 for a working website theme which in some cases took up to 320 hours to build. That is a better deal than you'll get anywhere else. Expecting someone to additionally help you build your website to tailor-fit your needs for free is unrealistic, all things considered. The theme is well documented, and the code is indented, spaced, commented, and intuitively built specifically to enable you to make changes to your theme easily.

We want our themes to be highly-rated on ThemeForest. The only way to do that is to make sure our themes work well and our customers are satisfied. That is why we have spent so much time making sure this is the case. Making the theme as easy to use and as intuitive as possible for you actually helps us just as much as it helps you, so believe it when we say that is our goal!

A Note On Theme Customizations

Even if your customization seems super simple and you think it would only take a few minutes, it is important to note that if we helped one person, how would we justify not helping the next person? 100 people who need super simple customizations is not so super simple anymore. We get on average 15 requests a day for theme customizations, so it just wouldn't work for us to adopt this policy. Please check out Envato Studio (http://studio.envato.com/) or Elto (https://www.elto.com/?invite=industrial), which are great resources to hire a web developer who can help you with your customizations.

68. I put a text widget in my sidebar and all the sudden my footer is aligning to the left.

Continuum doesn’t allow text widgets to be added to the sidebar that don’t have titles. Put something in for the title of the widget (use a period or dash if you want it to work but the header to not be noticeable). Or, use the Continuum Unwrapped Text widget, which does not require a header and also does not wrap the content in a sidebar container (this is great for tall ads).

69. Where did you get the icons you used in the demo content?

Entypo: http://www.entypo.com/

Gemicon: http://gemicon.net/preview.html

Also, The Noun Project is a great place to get icons just like the ones used in the demo: http://thenounproject.com/

70. I installed using a WAMP localhost installation and am seeing this error: undefined function curl_init() error.

The first problem is that curl extension isn’t selected in your wamp php. You need to go over to the wamp icon for a start and start the curl extension. Do this by clicking the wamp icon and going to php, then php extensions and then scrolling to the top of the list to the second menu item “curl_php” Make sure that’s clicked and then move on to the easy steps below. You need a ”properly compiled version of php_curl.dll” which you can download here:

http://www.anindya.com/

Open the site and scroll down to the php version that matches the php version you automatically installed with wamp. you can find this by clicking on your wamp icon hovering over php and then moving the mouse over “version” and this will tell you what you need to know. Find your version, remembering to select the spec of your machine 32 or 64 bit as well as the correct php version. Mirror one worked for me and I can vouch for it being virus free on 64 bit machine and php 5.4:

The link looks like this:

php-5.4.12-Win32-VC9-x64.zip (Mirror 1) (Mirror 2)

You’ll then need to download and extract the files and go into your localhost wamp files @

C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.4.3\ext

Or wherever you keep your wamp install. In the ext folder on your wamp localhost install you’ll find a file called php_curl.dll. Save this file to wordpad just in case you need it later and replace it with the corresponding php_curl.dll of the same name from the download.

After doing the above, permalinks need to be set to the format you want and then saved. Then you will need to enable the php rewrite_module.

71. Last menu item wrapping to new line - how to fix?

Until we can permanently fix this in an update, there is an easy workaround for this. Just add a Link menu item to the end of the menu (in your Appearance >> Menus screen in the WordPress dashboard). Keep the target and title/label of the menu item blank.

74. Why is the comment button not displaying in the popup?

Make sure comments are not closed on your site or on the post in question. Also, make sure you don't have the "only registered users can comment" setting turned on. Look for these settings in the Settings >> Discussion panel of your WordPress dashboard.

75. Explicit theme options walkthrough

See screencast here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

76. After updating to 1.2 I get a bunch of PHP warnings on my page.

Edit the functions/shortcodes/loops.php file and locate lines 136 and 381 which are both identical and should look like this:

if(!empty($disabled_filters)) $disabled_filters = explode(',',$disabled_filters);

Change them both to this:

$disabled_filters = !empty($disabled_filters) ? explode(',',$disabled_filters) : array();

Next, edit the functions/admin/option-generator.php file line 1783:

$builder_name = $builder_array[$builder_id];

Change it to this:

$builder_name = array_key_exists($builder_id, $builder_array) ? $builder_array[$builder_id] : '';

Both of these issues will be permanently fixed in version 1.3.

Initial release

78. My Featured slider layout does not look correct, and images are displaying incorrectly.

If you have images that were uploaded prior to installing this theme and you are trying to show them in the featured slider, you need to install and run the free plugin called AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild.

If you're still experiencing the issue, it's because your images aren't large enough when originally uploaded to WordPress. They are required to be at least 650px wide and 360px tall (if you are using the small format of the slider) to work properly. Any size larger will work, as long as they are not smaller than that.

79. I receive the following message on my review mini-site front page: 'The specified review type does not match a review type in the system.

Make sure your review types all start with a capital letter in Review Options. Then, when you're creating your review mini-site front page, make sure you capitalize the name of the review type in the custom field that you add.

80. How do I upgrade from Swagger or Continuum to Made?

Upgrading from Swagger:

Install Made and activate it.

Go to Appearance >> Menus and re-assign your menus in the Theme Locations panel. The layout of the menus is not exactly the same in Made as in Swagger, so you might have to do a little tweaking to get them where you want them.

Install and run the free plugin called AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild. It is only necessary to run this once right after you first activate the theme.

Go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Front Page and select a size for your Featured Slider Size and specify a layout for your Latest Posts >> Latest Layout and click Save Options. Go to Appearance >> Review Options and click Save Options.

Go to Appearance >> Widgets and open each Extended: Latest Reviews, Extended: Latest Review Tabs, and Extended: Post Tabs widget in all of your sidebars and click Save on each one (this fixes thumbnail sizes).

Go to Appearance >> Miscellaneous and specify a color for your Main Color Scheme. Your review types, rating info, posts, pages, categories, tags, taxonomies, etc. will all be visible without any further modifications. Keep in mind Made is not the exact same theme as Swagger so you will definitely need to spend some time getting your site settings how you want them.

Upgrading from Continuum: (more involved) See this awesome guide written by Continuum/Made user randallflagg34: http://support.industrialthemes.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5668

81. When I import the demo content everything works except the video game articles.

This is because during one of the Flavor theme updates the mechanism for determining minisite ID’s was improved, and it affected the video games minisite but not the others. If you really want to import these articles you’ll need to create a fourth minisite with video_games as the slug (instead of videogames) and import the xml file again, and then use the convert post types plugin to convert them into your original video games minisite: http://wordpress.org/plugins/convert-post-types/

82. My post thumbnails are not cropped and sized correctly.

You need to install and run the AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin in order to rebuild all your thumbnails to fit into Continuum. This is only necessary if you have uploaded image thumbnails (featured images) before installing Continuum.

83. How to I get Yoast SEO to work with Made?

Check out this guide, much thanks to Made user JackYu! http://support.industrialthemes.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4543#p21529

84. How to add Google Custom Search and add the Theme Search Box instead of Google Search Box

An awesome user guide was written by Engine user Deepak Majhi. See it here: https://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/402821/

Thanks Deepak!

85. Help, my small menu disappeared when I upgraded to version 1.1!

That’s because a new theme option was added that lets you hide this menu, and by default it’s turned off, so you need to go into Continuum Theme Options >> Miscellaneous and turn the custom small menu back on. You won’t lose any of your menu items, don’t worry.

86. After updating to Steam 1.8 I get a large pop-up error message when hovering over mega menu items.

This was a bug introduced in version 1.8 of the theme. To fix it, delete line 731 of the inc/scripts-ajax.php file which looks like this:

alert(data.content);

87. The Latest Slider only shows one post, or it is broken and not working properly.

You need at least 3 posts in the latest slider or else it will only display 1 post (or none at all).

88. How can I change the sizes of my post featured thumbnail images?

You can change the sizes of any of the images used in various places throughout the site for post thumbnails by editing the functions/custom.php file. There is a function that dictates all the various sizes on lines 178 - 195. The function should look like this:

//add thumbnail support
if ( function_exists( 'add_theme_support' ) ) { // Added in 2.9
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
set_post_thumbnail_size( 160, 160, true ); // default post thumbnails
add_image_size( 'latest', 220, 150, true );
add_image_size( 'nivo-image', 540, 390, true );
add_image_size( 'nivo-thumbnail', 70, 70, true );
add_image_size( 'footer-thumbnail', 40, 40, true );
add_image_size( 'spotlight', 300, 170, true );
add_image_size( 'panel-small', 190, 108, true );
add_image_size( 'article-slider', 110, 110, true );
add_image_size( 'single', 620 );
add_image_size( 'single-medium', 300 );
add_image_size( 'single-small', 180 );
add_image_size( 'single-full', 940 );
add_image_size( 'single-review', 260 );
add_image_size( 'related', 110, 70, true );
}

Find the line that corresponds to the image size you want to change. For instance, if you want to change the size of the images that appear in the spotlight slider, you would edit line 178. The two numbers on that line represent the width followed by the height in pixels. So, if you want to change the spotlight images from 170px height to 200px in height, you would change line 178 to this:

add_image_size( 'spotlight', 300, 200, true );

IMPORTANT - after changing any of these values, you must install and run the AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin so your existing images can be resized to fit the new dimensions. It will not be necessary to run the plugin again after the first time (unless you change a value again).

89. How do I use Jetpack Gallery plugin or Next-gen Gallery plugin with this theme?

If you're using a photo gallery plugin that has a built in lightbox effect, such as the ones mentioned, you should disable the Colorbox jQuery plugin in the theme by going to Theme Options >> Miscellaneous >> More Options and disabling it there. If you want the Colorbox to still apply to your featured images but not your galleries, you can alternatively open footer.php and delete lines 187 and 188. Those lines look like this for reference:

jQuery(".page-content a[href$='.jpg'],a[href$='.png'],a[href$='.gif']").colorbox();
jQuery('.page-content .gallery a').colorbox({ rel:'gallery' });

90. How can I add category descriptions to the theme?

First, disable the heat index for categories in the theme options.

Then add this function to the functions/theme.php file (after line 278)

if (!function_exists('it_category_description')) {
    function it_category_description () {
    $out = '';
        if(is_archive()) {
            $post = $posts[0]; # Hack. Set $post so that the_date() works.
            if (is_category()) {
            $out = category_description ();
            } elseif( is_tag() ) {
            $out = tag_description ();
            }
        }
    return $out;
    }
}

And then add this to the footer.php file before footer

<?php if(is_archive()) { ?>
        <?php $archive_description = it_category_description(); ?>

        <?php if($archive_description!='') { ?>
        <div class="container-fluid no-padding builder-section builder-html category-descriptions">
            <div class="row">
                <div class="col-md-12">
                    <div class="container-inner">
                        <div class="html-inner">
                            <div class="html-content clearfix">
                                <?php echo $archive_description ?>
                            </div>
                        </div>
                    </div>
                </div>
            </div>
        </div>
         <?php } ?>
     <?php } ?>

Class category-descriptions - for style of text in block, other classes are from the theme.

91. There is extra white space below my spotlight slider.

If missing the more button in the spotlight slider, increase the height of the panels, since if a taller element is not displayed at first and rather rotated into, its height is ignored when coming up with the height of the slider, which is why 450px had to be selected as the defined height of this area. look for this in the style.css file:

#spotlight .post-panel {float:left;margin-top:20px;margin-right:20px;width:300px;height:450px;position:relative;}

92. Update Log (Stylish Links Pro)

  2. sl-config.php

93. I'm receiving this error: Unsupported operand types in .../functions/oswc-post-types.php on line 901.

94. Social counts stopped working

You will need to use a plugin to display your social counts rather than the theme's built-in functionality. The vendors have all changed their APIs and this is now technically considered plugin territory rather than theme territory according to ThemeForest, so we are no longer offering social counts packaged with our themes. We will be updating all of our themes and completely removing all social count functionality as soon as we're able to. Thanks for your patience and understanding in this matter.

UPDATE:

A user recommended this plugin as an alternative: AccessPress Social Counter

95. How can I populate my blog with dummy content from your demo?

Download, unzip, and import this xml file into your Wordpress installation (right-click that link and save as). To import, go to Tools >> Import and select Wordpress. This will import all posts, pages, and comments into your blog. It will not import the actual images from the dummy content, and it will also not import the settings from the demo.

98. Responsive Google Adsense ads don't work in the header ad slot.

Short Answer: Disable the header logo and header social badges (do so in the theme options >> general settings >> sticky bar & header area)

Long Answer: This is due to the way responsive Google ads detect parent element width. In Explicit's header the ad floats and thus does not have a width (the nature of CSS) and the only way to get it not to float is to disable the other floating elements within the same row - namely the logo and social badges. What further complicates this is that the logo can be a variable width so it's impossible to hard-code some sort of limit here. We even played around with absolute positioning and media query widths but could never get a responsive ad to look quite right in the header, it would always end up overlapping one of the other elements. So it's really not a great place to put a responsive google ad in the first place, thus the workaround suggested above. Of course the other option is to use a non-responsive google ad there, and as always you can use any html or standard image ad (i.e. non-javascipt) and it will be fully responsive.

99. My pagination for my category archive pages result in 404 pages when I move to the last page (or other subsequent pages).

You need to make sure your category archive posts per page is set to the same number as your blog settings pages number. Go to Continuum Theme Options >> Page Layouts >> Category Archive Pages >> Posts Per Page and make sure that number is the same as Reading >> Blog pages show at most.

100. I can’t click any links in the post content of my very first post!

Delete this post and create a new one. The very first post in WordPress with ID of 1 has trouble with links. Not sure if this is a WordPress thing, a Continuum thing, or both. In any case, it should only affect the very first post you have in your system, and never affect anything else again.

101. My random post button is displayed twice instead of once.

Make sure you don’t have any posts marked Sticky.

102. Google Structured Data (Rich Snippet) warnings/errors when using billboard layout

If you are experiencing any issues with google rich snippet testing tool on billboard non-review (standard article) posts, the issue is because google is looking for an image (i.e. the "article" node is empty). You need to set the featured image to display actually within your content via the post layout options. It isn't enough to have the featured image display as the billboard overlay background, google actually needs to see the image within the post content as an image element rather than a CSS background image.

103. Using shortcodes in Explicit

See screencast: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

104. How do I import the demo content?

See this FAQ item to learn how to do a direct MySql import of the demo database: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/faq/751/

The demo xml file that comes with the theme contains all of the content from the live demo. Before you import this file, you need to create the five review types in your Review Options page. Then you need to specify all of the necessary options, which are detailed in this screenshot of the demo review options: http://www.brianmcculloh.com/files/made-review-options.jpg

  1. After you setup the review types, go to Tools >> Import and choose WordPress.
  2. Upload the demo xml file that came in your Made-Theme folder and click Upload File and Import. Do not make any selections or assignments for the authors.
  3. After the import finishes, go to Appearance >>Menus and in the Theme Locations panel select the menu for each of the menu locations (for some reason the import process creates the menus correctly but does not assign them to these three spots).
  4. Go to Appearance >> Widgets and setup your widgets since the import file does not contain widget information.
  5. Go to Appearance >> Theme Options and setup your theme options to match the demo. All of the demo theme options are detailed in this screenshot: http://www.brianmcculloh.com/files/made-demo-theme-options.jpg

We also provide a screenshot of the full review options from the main Made demo which is located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/made/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/made-review-options.jpg. Some browsers have trouble displaying an image of this size in the colorbox. If you have this issue, right-click on the link and open the image in a new window (or save it to your computer) to view it.

If you notice that your images are not sized correctly, install and run the plugin called AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild which should resize your images correctly. You will only need to run this once and shouldn't ever have to run it again unless you deactivate this theme and upload images while it is deactivated. If you still experience incorrectly sized images, it is likely that you have neglected to fill out your theme options all the way. Make sure you fill out all options, especially in places where you can select one of several options, like Front Page >> Latest Posts >> Latest Layout. If there is no selection at all it could cause your theme to act weird.

105. How do I install this theme?

Extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP archive from ThemeForest in a folder on your desktop. Locate the grandmag folder and compress it into a zip file. In your WordPress dashboard go to Appearance >> Themes >> Install Themes >> Upload and choose the grandmag.zip file and click Install Now.

If you have problems with the WordPress theme installer, you should use FTP to upload the grandmag folder (unzipped). Connect to your server using an FTP client. Navigate to: [Your wordpress install]/wp-content/themes/. Drag the grandmag folder (do not zip it – make sure it is unzipped) into your FTP client window, under the /themes/ folder. Wait for all the files to upload and navigate to WordPress -> Appearance -> Themes and activate the theme.

After you install the theme, or if you ever uninstall and then re-install it (or deactivate it and then re-activate it) go to Settings >> Permalinks and click Save. This will refresh your permalinks so all the theme’s pages work. Also, keep in mind if you have any caching plugins active, such as W3 Total Cache or similar, you should clear your cache or disable and re-enable the plugin during installation of the theme

If you are installing this theme on a brand new blank WordPress installation, you can disregard this paragraph. If you already have articles with featured images in your WordPress site before you install GrandMag, you will need to resize your featured images to fit the dimensions of all the thumbnail areas used in GrandMag. To easily and quickly do this, install the AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin, and then go to Tools >> Rebuild Thumbnails and run it once. After the first time you run it, you will not have to run it again since any images uploaded after you have installed GrandMag will automatically be sized correctly. It only applies to images uploaded to your media library before you install GrandMag. Note: if you have a lot of images it might take a while to complete – just let it work its magic and if for some reason it doesn’t finish the first time feel free to run it again as many times as you want – it won’t hurt anything or create any duplicate images.

106. Update Log (SwagMag)

Initial release

107. How do I create an author listing page?

Please view the screencast demonstrating this here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

108. Icons on mobile appearing broken

Solution: Add this to your Custom CSS Tiny theme option

.theme-icon-trending:before {content: '\e838';position: relative;top: 18px;left: -4px;}

109. I receive a 404 error after I create my minisite and post my first article/review.

This sometimes happens after you have created a new minisite and will only happen once and is easily fixable. Just go to Settings >> Permalinks and click Save. That will refresh your permalink structure and cause your reviews to work correctly. Any time you ever experience 404s in WordPress, this is always a great first step and usually fixes the issue.

110. Facebook Like button is not working on AJAX (dynamic) loaded pages.

Open inc/scripts.php and locate line 263 which looks like this:

equalHeightColumns(jQuery(".main-loop, #sidebar"));

Directly after that line (but before the closing bracket } on line 264) add this code:

FB.XFBML.parse();

111. How can I change the sizes of my post featured thumbnail images?

You can change the sizes of any of the images used in various places throughout the site for post thumbnails by editing the functions/custom.php file. There is a function that dictates all the various sizes on lines 261 - 281. The function should look like this:

//add thumbnail support
if ( function_exists( 'add_theme_support' ) ) { // Added in 2.9
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
set_post_thumbnail_size( 160, 160, true ); // default post thumbnails
add_image_size( 'latest', 163, 109, true );
add_image_size( 'featured-full', 1000, 550, true );
add_image_size( 'featured-small', 650, 360, true );
add_image_size( 'footer-thumbnail', 40, 40, true );
add_image_size( 'spotlight', 300, 170, true );
add_image_size( 'spotlight-small', 230, 135, true );
add_image_size( 'loop-large', 630, 350, true );
add_image_size( 'loop-large-full', 960, 450, true );
add_image_size( 'panel-small', 190, 108, true );
add_image_size( 'trending', 105, 70, true );
add_image_size( 'widget-thumbnail', 70, 70, true );
add_image_size( 'single', 625 );
add_image_size( 'single-medium', 300 );
add_image_size( 'single-small', 180 );
add_image_size( 'single-full', 960 );
add_image_size( 'single-review', 350 );
add_image_size( 'related', 110, 70, true );
}

Find the line that corresponds to the image size you want to change. For instance, if you want to change the size of the images that appear in the spotlight slider, you would edit line 216. The two numbers on that line represent the width followed by the height in pixels. So, if you want to change the spotlight images from 170px height to 200px in height, you would change line 216 to this:

add_image_size( 'spotlight', 300, 200, true );

IMPORTANT - after changing any of these values, you must install and run the AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild plugin so your existing images can be resized to fit the new dimensions. It will not be necessary to run the plugin again after the first time (unless you change a value again).

113. How do I add more icon fonts?

1) Go to Fontello: http://fontello.com/

2) Click the wrench and then choose Import

3) Upload the config.json file located within the theme's fonts/ folder

4) Add/remove any icons you want

5) Download the webfont and put the files from the fontello download fonts/ folder into your theme's fonts/ folder, replacing the old files with the new ones

6) Open the css/icons.css file from the fontello download and copy the list of classes beginning on approximately line 55 and should looke like something this:

.icon-plus:before { content: '\2b'; } /* '+' */
.icon-wikipedia:before { content: '\2c'; } /* ',' */
.icon-minus:before { content: '\2d'; } /* '-' */
.icon-html5:before { content: '\35'; } /* '5' */
...
...
...

Paste that over top of the theme's existing list of icon classes located in style.css towards the bottom of the file.

114. Twitter widget stopped working since they changed their API to 1.1 on June 12th, 2013

Unfortunately Twitter drastically changed their API with the release of version 1.1 and now there is authentication required (consumer and user private and public keys) for you to be able to display Twitter feed or your Twitter follower count in your theme. For our themes that support the follower count (GrandMag and Flavor) we were actually able to find a fix for that and are including it in the next update for each theme, respectively. For the actual Twitter feed in all of our themes, unfortunately for now we're going to have to remove that functionality in the next update to each theme until we can find an alternative solution. However, in the mean time, we recommend just using a plugin for your Twitter feed instead of the theme's built-in widget. Check out the plugin directory for lots of great options: http://wordpress.org/plugins/. Thanks for your patience and understanding during this new Twitter transitional time!

115. How do I use the awards and badges system?

Please view our helpful screencasts located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/flavor/support/screencasts/

116. My featured video is not sized correctly on the individual article page (i.e. it has black bars around the video)

The issue is that there is no height or width set for the video shortcode that is used to create the featured video, so youtube is coming up with some default size somehow. Try adding in a width and/or height value to the line that calls the featured video. It's in functions/page-content.php line 349:

$video = it_video( $args = array( 'url' => $video, 'video_controls' => it_get_setting('loop_video_controls'), 'parse' => true ) );

It would be added like this:

$video = it_video( $args = array( 'url' => $video, 'video_controls' => it_get_setting('loop_video_controls'), 'parse' => true, 'width' => 750, 'height' => 550 ) );

117. Update Log (Continuum)

To update your theme:

Make a full site backup (database and files)
To download the latest version of the theme, go to the "Downloads" tab in your Themeforest.net account. Select "Installable Wordpress file only" to download the latest theme files.
Unzip the downloaded theme files on your computer
Use your ftp client to copy (overwriting) the files to wp-content/themes/[theme-name]/ on your host server. You can either upload all files completely, or just the ones listed in the update log below if you prefer.

1.0 - 4/30/2011

Initial release

118. My random button is showing up as weird text instead of a random icon.

You probably have Disqus installed (or another similar plugin). If so, go to your Disqus (or whatever plugin you're using) settings and enable the option that says "output javascript in footer".

119. I'm receiving this error: Fatal error: Call to a member function get_primary_taxonomy() on a non-object in .../inc/latest.php on line 38

This happens when you use a plugin that creates custom post types, such as an Events Manager plugin or similar. The fix is to open inc/latest.php and edit line 34, which looks like this:

if(is_tax()) {

You need to exclude the name of the review type that the plugin you're using creates. For instance, the Events Manager plugin creates a custom post type called "tribe_event". You need to exclude that custom post type name from the line of code like this:

if(is_tax() &amp;&amp; get_post_type()!="tribe_events") {

The name of the post type will vary depending on which plugin you're using. To find out the name of the post type your plugin creates, put this code somewhere above that line of code on the page and then view the page in your browser and it will display the name of the post type:

echo get_post_type();

120. I'm having pagination issues. When I try to move to any pages beyond page 1 I'm receiving 404 errors.

There are a couple possible causes for this issue:

1. Make sure you don’t have any taxonomies, categories, or meta data with the same name as the title of the review page (i.e. the title of the page you create as the frontpage of your review minisite).

2. Make sure the title of your review page does not match the name of your review type itself. For instance, if the name of your review type is “Movie”, then the title of your review minisite front page cannot also be “Movie”. Change it to something else, like “Movies”. Important: if you change the name of your review type rather than the name of your review mini-site front page title, you will lose all of your settings for that review type and you’ll also have to run a post type converter to convert all of your reviews in the old review type name to the new review type name.

121. Heat Index counts disappeared after updating to 1.4

Edit framework.php line 45 and change it from:

define( 'IT_META_TOTAL_VIEWS', $pre . 'total_views');

To:

define( 'IT_META_TOTAL_VIEWS', $pre . '_total_views');

122. How do I get WordPress SEO Breadcrumbs working?

See here: https://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/378024/

123. Why do my BuddyPress pages look and act all weird and messed up?

Made requires that you install the BuddyPress Template Pack plugin if you are going to use BuddyPress. In case it's no longer available in the WordPress plugin directory, you can download it here: http://www.brianmcculloh.com/files/bp-template-pack.zip If you don't install this plugin, you will lose a lot of the styling and fancy AJAX functionality. This plugin is made by the creators of BuddyPress and is meant for enabling themes to work with BuddyPress, so it's very reliable, trustworthy, and recommended, and doesn't add any strain to your server load at all. Note: this plugin is obviously not required if you are not going to install BuddyPress

124. How do I limit user ratings to only logged in (registered) users?

See the solution in this ticket: http://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/147999

125. I am having issues with Google Ads not displaying correctly.

There is a known issue with the slide-out jQuery menus present in Explicit and some types of Google ads. Currently, the only true fix is to disable the "mmenu" jQuery functionality from the theme. Do so in Theme Options >> Menus >> Disable mmenu. The reason this is necessary is because the mmenu wraps the entire page within a div tag when it loads, consequently changing the parent element of the entire theme. When iframes have their parent element changed they automatically refresh, and Google Ads use iframes to present the advertisements, leading them to refresh incorrectly and/or not display at all.

Disabling the mmenu will cause the Sticky Menu to no longer be usable, and the Section Menu will not display on mobile (but all mega menu functionality will still work on larger sized devices). The sticky bar will still display and function correctly, and the Secondary Menu will become your primary menu for use in the sticky bar on mobile devices.

Until the theme is able to be updated so that the mmenu and ads work well together, this is the only option apart from modifying the theme code manually.

126. How do I setup the menus?

Please view our helpful screencasts located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/flavor/support/screencasts/

127. Child Theme Not Responsive

See this ticket for solution: https://industrialthemes.ticksy.com/ticket/994828/

128. Icons are turning into question marks on review pages

Add this to your custom css theme option:

.ratings .header span {word-wrap:normal}

129. I created my review types but they’re not showing up in my admin panel.

First make sure the review type is actually enabled in the Review Options. If it is and it's still not displaying in the admin menu, it’s possible that another plugin is “overwriting” the menu location of the review types. Open functions/oswc-post-types.php and change line 121 (Made users) or 108 (Swagger users) from this: 'menu_position' => 27, To this: 'menu_position' => 30,

130. French Translation

Please download the French translation files to use for Explicit located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/translations/Explicit_fr_FR_1.0.zip

1.0 - 5/29/2013

Initial release

135. I cannot save my theme options. The loading wheel just keeps spinning and the save never completes.

You need to increase your max_input_vars setting on your web server to at least 2,000. Not to worry if this sounds daunting, it's actually a very easy fix, and your web host can do it for you if you don't know how - just ask them. You can also refer to this link to increase this setting yourself: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10303714/php-ma...

Note: If you are using a one-click script-installed WordPress installation (rather than their official WordPress installation instructions) such as GoDaddy or similar, you will potentially need to edit a different file to increase your max_input_vars variable. Here is their knowledge-base article regarding this file:

https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/8913/what...

GoDaddy Users:

In your site root (commonly the public_html folder) you must create the php.ini file and add the following lines to it:

max_input_vars = 5000
suhosin.post.max_vars = 5000
suhosin.request.max_vars = 5000

Additional help: The following is from an Engine user who still had issues with the spinning loader but was able to get it working via the following:

If you were migrating your database or complete site from WAMP 2.0 and/or using the “all-in-one-wp-migration” plugin, the following steps might be necessary:

1) Clear out your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin on your web server (drop all tables so it's empty).

2) Export your local database

3) Import the database to your web server

4) Don't forget to assign correct user for the DB you are migrating (your DB username on WAMP2.0 is most likely "root" and password is blank. It must be changed.)

136. How do I use custom sidebars?

Please see the screencast demonstrating this located here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

137. Having trouble with scripts.js working in a child theme.

Edit your core.php file (the one in your child theme) and find line 8:

wp_register_script('it-scripts', THEME_JS_URI . '/scripts.min.js', false, false, true);

Change it to this:

wp_register_script('it-scripts', CHILD_THEME_JS_URI . '/scripts.min.js', false, false, true);

138. Where can I find more information about using Flavor, such as documentation and credits?

Check out this helpful support portal we have setup for your convenience: http://www.industrialthemes.com/flavor/support/

139. When viewing my site on a mobile phone, the top and main menus are displaying the non-responsive version in addition to the responsive select box version.

This is because you haven't named your menus correctly. When you create your menus, you must name the top menu "Top Menu" and the main menu "Main Menu". If you name them something else, they will not display correctly when viewing on a mobile phone.

140. How do I install the demo content for Explicit?

See screencast: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

141. Theme completely broken without any code changes (something regarding XML or file_get_contents)

First of all, we are very sorry for this sudden inconvenience! It couldn't have come at a worse time, what with me being out of town on a family vacation this week :(

It's actually a very simple fix though to get your site back up and running.

Youtube recently changed its API for the youtube subscriber count mechanism. Go into your social counts widget anywhere it is present within your theme's widget panels and disable the youtube subscriber count option (you can leave the other social count options enabled). We will be rolling out updates with the fix as soon as we are able to.

Most likely we will be completely removing the youtube social count component from the theme in favor of using a plugin instead, since technically this is plugin territory rather than theme territory anyway.

UPDATE

We have fixed all of our themes where this was an issue. Please update your theme which will fix this issue.

142. Errors after updating to version 1.10

Remove the first blank line of the framework.php file. The theme is in the process of being updated to fix this issue.

143. In the Loop page builder I cannot change the positioning of the sidebars (the layout).

You can fix by editing functions/theme.php and locating line 2618 which should look like this:

$shortcode .= ']';

Add the following line of code right above it so it looks like so:

144. The Don't Miss slider stops rotating after it has shown all of the posts and does not loop.

Increase the number of posts that display in this slider to 6 (or more) in Theme Options >> Miscellaneous >> Don't Miss Bar until it begins looping. If you have very short post titles it might take more than the minimum 5 posts that is selected by default.

145. I get an error when I try adding new taxonomies.

Try renaming your review type and then naming it back. For instance, go to Review Options and look at your list of review types. If you have a review type named, for instance, Movie, change it to Movie2 and click Update Review Types. Then change it back to Movie and click Update Review Types again. That should fix your issue of being able to add new taxonomies.

146. How do I change the login/register/account buttons in the sticky bar to point to a custom page of my choosing?

You can manually set what you want those URLs to be by editing the inc/sticky.php file. There are five lines you must modify. First, change line 93 and make it equal your desired account URL:

$hrefaccount = force_ssl_admin() ? str_replace('http://','https://',admin_url( 'profile.php' )) : admin_url( 'profile.php' );

Change it like so:

$hrefaccount = 'href="http://www.youraccounturl.com"';

Then change lines 92 and 103 to match your desired register and login URLs respectively:

$hrefregister = '';

...

$hreflogin = '';

Like this instead:

$hrefregister = 'href="http://www.yourregisterurl.com"';

...

$hreflogin = 'href="http://www.yourloginurl.com"';

And finally change lines 91 and 102 from:

$idregister = 'sticky-register';

...

$idlogin = 'sticky-login';

To this:

$idregister = 'sticky-register-custom';

...

$idlogin = 'sticky-login-custom';

147. I get a redirect loop when I try to register using the sticky bar register drop down form.

This is usually because you have a plugin such as BuddyPress installed, and you need to go to your Theme Options >> BuddyPress screen and make sure the Use WordPress Registration option is unselected.

148. I have a lot of regular posts already and now I want to switch themes to Swagger and use the review type system. How do I convert my regular posts into reviews?

Here's a very helpful step-by-step guide that a Swagger user has created specifically for this task: http://support.industrialthemes.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5027&p=29772

149. My pagination for my reviews and/or category pages results in 404 errors when I move to the next page.

This is because you have a page with the same slug as a custom post type or category, which will will result in 404 errors for some of the permalink structures. For instance, you can’t have a page with a slug of product-reviews because the slug of the custom post type for product reviews already uses it. Add “-2” to the end of the page slug, so it becomes product-reviews-2, or something like that.

151. My minisites broke after updating to Flavor 1.12

Open functions/minisites.php and locate line 549 which currently looks this:

'id' => $minisite_slug,

Change it so it looks like this:

#'id' => $minisite_slug,

Then go into your theme options and your minisites should show up. If they don't, click confirm minisites and then check.

152. Help! I made a change in my Review Options and my site broke (all my taxonomies disappeared from my admin review menus)!

You probably have a caching plugin such as W3 Total Cache active. Disable the plugin and perform your changes to your Review Options page, and when you're done, re-enable your caching plugin.

153. When I post a new review and try to view it I get a 404 error.

Go to Theme Options >> Other Pages >> More Page Options and change the number specified for Reviews Per Page to match the number specified in Settings >> Reading >> Blog pages show at most. If you still have trouble after doing so, go to Settings >> Permalinks and click Save and then see if it begins working.

154. My post loops don't display my selected categories until after I click a sort button or page button.

Please view the screencast demonstrating this here: http://www.industrialthemes.com/steam/support/screencasts/

156. There are a bunch of widgets at the bottom of my front page that are supposed to be in the sidebar.

Depending on whether you are installing this theme on a brand new WordPress installation or just changing themes on an existing install, your widgets that used to be in the sidebar might get thrown into the Frontpage Main widget panel. Go to Appearance &gt;&gt; Widgets and move the widgets from the Frontpage Main widget panel into the Frontpage Sidebar widget panel.

157. My master slider is broken after the first slide.

We are working to update the theme. In the mean time, replace your version of the js/plugins.min.js file with this one: plugins.min.js

159. How do I create a directory in Explicit?

See screencast: http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/...

160. I cannot save my theme options, or when I do it does a hard refresh instead of doing an AJAX save.

There are two possible causes for this.

1) You have the visual editor disabled in your WordPress settings. Make sure you don't have the visual editor disabled. If that is not the issue, then...

2) You have PHP version 5.3.9 or higher and are hitting a PHP system limit for maximum number of post input variables. You need to increase the max_input_vars PHP variable. By default it is set at 1,000, so you should increase it to something closer to 3,000 or even 5,000 (or higher as needed). Add php_value max_input_vars 5000 to your .htaccess file. If you need help doing this, contact your web host - they can help you with these kinds of changes.

If you have increased this variable and you are still having the issue, there are a few other variables you will need to update, including but not limited to:

161. I'm receiving this error: Unsupported operand types in .../functions/oswc-post-types.php on line 881.

This means you have not specified your Rating Criteria for your review type. Go to Appearance >> Review Options and for each review type expand Ratings, Colors and Styles and fill out the Rating Criteria fields. Then when you add a review you can specify the ratings according to the rating criteria you entered in review options.

162. What are the server requirements to run this theme?

  1. PHP 5.0+
  2. WordPress 3.8+
  3. cURL must be enabled on your web server. Your web host can do this for you, just ask them. Or you can refer to this link which shows you how to do it: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1347146/how-to...
  4. You need to have allow_url_fopen set to on. Your web host can turn this on for you, just ask them. Or you can refer to this link which shows you how to do it: http://www.php.net/manual/en/filesystem.configurat...
  5. Increase your max_input_vars setting on your web server to at least 2,000. Your web host can do this for you, just ask them. Or you can refer to this link which shows you how to do it: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10303714/php-ma...

Note 2: If you have checked all of this and the settings still won't save, it could be because your web host has a firewall called ModSecurity enabled for your domain which is detecting an SQLi type of possible attack when the theme options are saved. Try having your host disable the ModSecurity and see if that helps.

163. Layout Options (background color, background image, etc.) don't work on BuddyPress pages.

This is a known issue. BuddyPress does not currently support the get_post_meta() WordPress function for specific BuddyPress pages, so unfortunately you cannot use the layout options on specific BP pages. This is being monitored and will hopefully be fixed on BP's end soon. For now the general theme options will be applied to the BuddyPress pages.

164. Can I import the demo MySql database directly via a .sql file?

Yes! A .sql file is included that you can import directly into your mysql database via phpMyAdmin. Here is how you do this:

  1. Backup your database!
  2. Open your WordPress database using phpMyAdmin on your web server
  3. Drop all of your tables: Structure >> Check All >> With Selected: Drop
  4. Click Import tab at the top
  5. Click Choose File and select the .sql file in your Made-Theme folder
  6. Click Go
  7. Open your wp_options table
  8. Change the value in the siteurl and home records to your domain (currently they are pointing to http://www.brianmcculloh.com/wp-made-demo)

After you make these changes, you can access your WordPress admin panel using the following credentials:

Once logged in you should see all of the demo content and settings except for the images (you will have to populate your own images - they are not contained in the SQL file.)

165. Tabs, Toggles, and Accordions titles do not display correctly after WordPress 4.0.1 update

Edit your functions/core.php file and add this to the very end of the file, but before the closing ?> tag:

add_filter( 'no_texturize_shortcodes', 'it_shortcodes_exempt' );
if(!function_exists('it_shortcodes_exempt')) {
	function it_shortcodes_exempt($shortcodes){
		$shortcodes[] = 'toggles';
		$shortcodes[] = 'tabs';
		return $shortcodes;
	}
}

166. When viewing a taxonomy listing or single review page, the review menu item in the main menu is not highlighted with the appropriate color.

Use the title attribute in the custom menu to make the main menu ancestor highlight appropriately. It must match the name of your review type (but the title can be anything you want, as well as the name of the page and the page slug). Basically, review page custom field value and custom menu item title attribute must exactly match the review type name you have specified.

Make sure the capitalization matches! Do not use lower case for one and upper case for the other.

167. When I turn on preloading of mega menu I receive an error similar to this: "Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/wp_jn2d6r/nothingwired.com/wp-content/themes/steam/functions/theme.php on line 648"

Check the following things:

1) Make sure you have one (and only one) primary taxonomy assigned to each minisite.

2) Make sure you have at least one term added inside of the primary taxonomy for each minisite (i.e. the primary taxonomy cannot be empty)

168. How do I import the demo content?

You can also directly import the .sql demo file into your database to get a closer demo install.

The demo xml file that comes with Swagger (versions 1.10+) contains one review type completely setup called Movie. Before you import this file, you need to create this review type in your Review Options page. Then you need to specify all of the necessary options, which are detailed in this screenshot of the demo review options (you only need to setup Movie).

After you setup the review type, go to Tools >> Import and choose WordPress. Upload the demo xml file that came in your Swagger-Theme folder and click Upload File and Import. Do not make any selections or assignments for the authors.

After the import finishes, go to Appearance >> Menus and in the Theme Locations panel select the menu for each of the three menu locations (for some reason the import process creates the menus correctly but does not assign them to these three spots).

Then, you will need to go to Appearance >> Widgets and setup your widgets since the import file does not contain widget information. Move all of the widgets from Frontpage Main into your Frontpage Sidebar widget panel (if necessary), and then setup up the rest of the widget panels from there how you want them.

Finally, you will need to go to Appearance >> Theme Options and setup your theme options to match the demo. All of the demo theme options are details in this screenshot.

Important: (only applies to demo files from Swagger 1.9 and earlier) If you select Download and Import File Attachments, that means it has to download EVERY SINGLE image from the demo (a lot!) and could take a while. If you get an error doing this, it is not because of Swagger, it is likely a server timeout or something to that effect. Try importing all the content without this option checked, and then go back and import again with this option checked. The second time you import, make sure you select each author to assign posts to since the authors were created during the first import.

If it fails, just try it again until it works, because eventually it will work. I have tested on several test installs and had errors a few times but eventually it worked. Note: each time you do an import, it re-imports all the menu items, so you'll need to go into Appearance >> Menus and delete the duplicates (doesn't happen with pages/posts/reviews, only menu items).

If you try these steps and you are still having trouble, please search the support forum for your solution. If you can't find it, please post a new support topic.

170. When I enable the Disqus plugin my featured slider stops working.

Go to the Disqus plugin-settings (not the general Disqus-setting) and enable "Output JavaScript in footer" under Advanced Options.

171. How do I use W3 Total Cache and user ratings together?

When you have page caching turned on in the W3 Total Cache options and a user who is not logged in attempts to rate a review, after refreshing the page, the original cached version of the page appears again instead of the updated page. In order to avoid this you need to add some values to the W3 Total Cache page cache exceptions list.

Within WordPress, go to Performance >> Page Cache >> Advanced and locate the "Never cache the following pages:" option. At the end of the current list add a value like this:

/movies/.+

That would be for if you had a minisite called movies. You'll need to add one in the same fashion for each minisite. So for instance in the demo content you would add the following:

/gadgets/.+
/video-games/.+
/movies/.+
/non-review/.+

Keep in mind these values should match the URL of your single minisite articles. If you are using default permalink structure and your minisite articles are not being served in this manner, you'll need to use a different approach.

172. My posts don’t sort by date. Instead, it appears they are randomly sorted.

Make sure you don’t have any posts marked sticky.

173. The content of my site overlaps the footer and does not appear correctly.

Disable "Likes" in the Jetpack plugin.

174. Why doesn't Google+ have a count like Facebook and Twitter do in the sharing options of a single post/page?

Google+ doesn't yet support a counts API that we can use (as of March 2014). As soon as they support it we'll add it. We chose not to downgrade to the default Google+ sharing button since it wouldn't match the style of the other counts at all. If you absolutely need the Google+ sharing number to be present we recommend you use a plugin instead of the native AddThis functionality. Keep in mind the sharing functionality works as expected, it just doesn't show the number of plus 1's for the page.

175. My site completely stops loading after the menu.

You have entered the wrong username in for your Youtube counts in the theme options. Make sure your username is correct, and also try just disabling youtube counts from the social counts widget and see if your site begins loading correctly.

176. How do I use the page builder functionality?

178. When I post a new review and try to view it I get a 404 error.

Go to Theme Options >> Other Pages >> More Page Options and change the number specified for Reviews Per Page to match the number specified in Settings >> Reading >> Blog pages show at most.

179. I use Disqus and I can’t get the “comments” text to display appropriately in all places of my site.

First you need to go in Advanced Options Disqus within WordPress.
Go into Comment Counts and check the box Output JavaScript in footer.

Open the file functions.php of the theme and add the following code:

//Disqus: Prevent from replacing comment count
remove_filter('comments_number', 'dsq_comments_text');
remove_filter('get_comments_number', 'dsq_comments_number');
remove_action('loop_end', 'dsq_loop_end');

180. How do I change the order of taxonomies in the sub menu?

In your header.php file, replace:

$terms = get_terms($primaryTaxonomy->id, array('parent' => 0, 'hide_empty' => 0));

With:

$terms = get_terms($primaryTaxonomy->id, array('parent' => 0, 'hide_empty' => 0, 'orderby' => id));

181. Hero slider is not auto-rotating no matter what interval I set

This is a known issue we are fixing for the next theme update. To fix in the mean time edit the functions/loop.php file and find line 154 which looks like this:

$interval = 9999;

Completely delete that line.

182. Help, my Movie Reviews post type disappeared!

The menu order is being duplicated. Open functions/post-types.php and edit line 37. Change the number of the menu position from 25 to 30.

183. How do I use shortcodes?
